Data gathering and analysis in the high Canadian Arctic, the Beaufort Sea, southern Chile, US alpine environments, Finland, winter Caspian Sea and other cold climates.

Experience
In Canada worked for Panarctic Oil in northern instrumentation, later with Dome Petroleum’s Beaufort Sea operations working on ice impacts, offshore island design, marine logistics, high Arctic ice features. Owner/engineer of Applied Microsystems, one of North America’s most dynamic marine instrumentation corporations, with world-wide sales of underwater scientific equipment. Adjunct professor in Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Victoria, Canada. Author of many research papers and trade articles.
