Canatec's Ice Statistics Program is now ICE '06. Recently
upgraded and with a new worldwide ice data set (years 1972-2005),
ICE '06 generates statistical output based on over 30 years
of continuous weekly ice charts. The source data are in the
SIGRID gridded ice format standard of the World Meteorological
Organization (WMO). ICE '06 is capable of:
- Producing statistical tables, plots, and maps based on user-defined sea-ice limiting criteria.
- Calculating ice season duration probabilities based on an entire historical data record.
- Calculating automatically, and saving, distance and ice data from user-defined navigation routes applied to historical ice conditions.
ICE '06 operates under Windows ® and is currently available in an English language version only. Cost of the latest version and the comprehensive world data set to 2005 is USD 3750. For additional information on ICE '06, please get in touch with Canatec through our Contact page.
